Modular Garden Room Ground Preparation
There is no need for extensive groundwork with the Leka Xi system, as the adjustable feet can be installed on any of the following:
Existing Concrete Hardstanding
If you already have a concrete hardstanding, this may be a suitable base.
Concrete Pads
Alternatively, basic concrete pads can provide a suitable base.
Ground Screws
Ground screws are an excellent option, especially where the ground is uneven.
The Xi System Framework
After the ground has been prepared, the main framework can be installed:
GRP Base Framework
The Leka Xi GRP base system framework is installed.
Base Insulation
Then PIR insulation sheets are placed between the joists.
GRP Wall Framework
The pre-fabricated wall sections are then installed.
The Xi System Walls
Once the basic framework is in place, the rest of the wall elements are added:
Wall Insulation
High-grade EPS insulation is fitted between the GRP framework for thermal efficiency.
Water Resistant Boards
The insulation is then covered with a layer of water resistant boards.
External Cladding
The exterior is then finished with the chosen GRP realistic look cladding.
The Xi System Roof
Once the walls are completed, the roof can be added:
GRP Roof Framework
The Leka Xi GRP roof system framework is installed.
Roof Insulation
Then insulation sheets are inserted into the framework.
Water Resistant Boards
The insulation is then covered with water resistant boards.
Final Elements
The final selected elements are then added to the structure:
Roof Covering
The selected roof finish and any glass options are added.
Doors
The chosen door options are then installed.
Windows
Along with any window options that are selected.
Finishing Touches
Lastly, the interior is finished and any optional extras are added:
Internal Boards
Floorboards are installed and energy-efficient plasterboard is added to the interior walls and ceiling.
Interior Finish
The walls and ceiling can optionally be skimmed, or finished with internal cladding.
Electrics & Lighting
Power can be run to the structure and sockets and lighting call also be added additionally.
